Mulberry growth shows signs of slowing (FT)
“Shares in Mulberry, the English luxury goods maker, fell heavily on Thursday after its annual results were not quite as stellar as analysts had expected, while recent sales figures showed a slowdown in growth.”

London men stake their place in the fashion spending arena (Telegraph)
“Tagging the male mentality towards fashion as a basic ‘famine or feast approach’, men, it appears, resist high street splurges in favour of luxury goods, spending 24% more per transaction, though less often, than their female counterparts.”

Not Just Vacation Flings (NY Times)
“This week in fashion, we celebrate a fairly new tradition in which dozens of designers unveil their intra-season resort collections during informal presentations… It is, in a way, an opportunity for designers to test new or nutty ideas before they incorporate them into their bigger spring runway shows, beginning in September.”

GQ Tries Out Augmented Reality (WWD)
“GQ is bringing augmented reality to its September issue. Via a new app, dubbed GQ Live, every advertisement and some editorial in the upcoming issue will feature print-to-mobile content extensions, including videos, 3-D modeling, interactive experiences and click-throughs to social media and e-commerce sites.”

insi-De eye: Lou Dalton (i-D)
“Growing up in small town Shropshire, Lou learnt fast to dream big and not take ‘no’ for an answer. Now residing in an old pub in Kennington, as London’s menswear designers have pushed themselves into the international fashion foglight, Lou’s been at the front of the field.”
